Vida Glow: Day 1

When I was a younger, I didn't have a care in the world. Out in the sun? Nah, I don't wanna wear sunblock or a hat. Cake and pizza? Yes, I'll take the entire thing, thank you. Don't even think about asking younger me to exercise. I'd find a way around it. But as I got older, I learned of the importance of taking care of my body and my mind. Of course, I would indulge at times, but I learned about balance and how vital it was for me to take small steps everyday to maintain and keep myself healthy for my future. One of the things that I had started to take more care of is my skin and my hair because I think it's one of the features that people will notice first. Your glowing skin and your shiny hair shows people that you know how to take care of yourself internally and externally. A couple of weeks ago, I was contacted by Vida Glow to review their collagen supplement product. I need to clarify that I am not a nutritionist; all the information that I have provided are either on Vida Glow's website or the internet.

"Vida Glow is a 100% Natural Marine Collagen Supplement. Collagen is the most abundant protein in our bodies, amounting up to 70%. Until our mid twenties, our bodies naturally produce collagen. As this production slows and eventually stops completely, we begin to see the effects of aging. Replenishing collagen levels will help increase the building blocks that maintain our hair, skin and nails."

What is collagen?
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body, making up approximately 70% of the protein in our bodies. Collagen is essential for skin structure and density. As the fibroblasts cells responsible for producing collagen naturally decrease due to aging, the visible signs of aging become more prominent. Collagen is naturally present in our skin, joints, tendons, muscles and ligaments. [x]

What is marine collagen?
Vida Glow Marine Collagen is a fibrous protein extracted from the scale of salt-water fish. Marine collagen can be derived from fish scale or skin, Vida Glow uses the scale, as this is richer in nutrients and collagen protein. Japanese women have used marine collagen as secret weapon for a youthful radiance for many years. Studies showing the benefits of taking marine collagen are plentiful. Being a 100% natural product, Vida Glow contains no artificial flavours, colours, additives or preservatives. It is also free from wheat, gluten, allergens, soy, lactose, dairy, sugar, carbs and fat. [x]

What does it help?
Vida Glow Marine Collagen will help hair, skin, joints, and nails.

How do I take it?
Vida Glow is a tasteless and odorless powder that you can pour in anything. I consumed it with my oatmeal in the morning, and I couldn't taste anything different or strange at all! You could pour it and mix it into your water, tea, coffee, yogurt, soup, anything!

How much is it?
GRATITUDE: 30 sachets: $49.95 USD
PROSPERITY: 60 sachets: $99.90 USD
LOVE: 90 sachets: $142.95 USD

For more information, visit Vida Glow's website or their FAQ. I'll be making another post when my container runs out of sachets, which is a month!

  8. In 2003 the FDA approved the use of hyaluronan in injectables (for the face), it has positive effect on skin hydration and drives collagen synathesis.
